Production Control & Logistics Country Manager

PC & Logistics Manager This is a challenging and exciting time for our Midlands based client. and the Production Control and Logistics team have a pivotal role providing an interface between our customers, our supplier base and internally with our own manufacturing locations. The team are the first point of contact for PC&L related queries and operational escalations in the UK, as well as working with advanced PC&L teams on project related work. You will be responsible for supply chain processes to meet customer delivery requirements for the UK business and customers. The Role Managing the UK PC&L organisation to reach/exceed business objectives (Inventory targets, E&O targets, functional cost). * Optimising Warehousing JIT/JIS Footprint and keeping a strong focus on reducing costs. * Delivering flawless launches of new projects, Model Year changes and business transfers. * Introducing and using the latest logistics principles in line with the company's lean concepts. * Assisting in definition of creative, lean and customer winning MPC concepts. * Building strong customer and stakeholder relationships. * Developing and maintaining team structure to ensure all customer projects are properly resourced and efficiently reach cost, quality and delivery targets. * Planning budget and controlling project expenses (Headcount tracking, costs and best cost country support.) * Developing team in line with current and future demands, with effective career path and succession planning. * Establishing a continuous improvement culture and setting targets to focus on improved performance. Experience Required You'll have a technical related degree or equivalent experience, and experience managing multiple complex / large systems projects with harness activity (design, quality, manufacturing) and application of SCM and Lean Manufacturing principles, concepts, theory, and practice including negotiation, forecasting, inventory management and inventory pull systems. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where you can apply your experience of change management in a manufacturing operations environment and can lead change in materials/purchasing. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels is vital in this role, as is the ability to manage diverse team across complex projects. Experience working with suppliers from Europe / North Africa is beneficial
