Production Cell Manager Cheltenham Competitive Salary My client are a manufacturing and engineering business that are market leaders with a global client base. They have a stable and growing order book and are now seeking a Production Cell Manager to join their facility in Cheltenham As a member of the Production Management team you are accountable to the Production manager to plan, organise and direct the manufacturing cell teams, to ensure business objectives, production and customer service targets are met. The post has full responsibility for the management of assigned employees and the ability to work flexi shift patterns as required by the business. Main Responsibilities Plan and schedule work to meet production objectives and targets, ensuring KPI’s and performance metrics are monitored, managed and achieved. Regularly report and review performance against targets and maintain daily visual tracker to measure performance against targets. Drive a culture of team work and continuous improvement to ensure achievement of performance measures and business efficiency.  Leadership and line management responsibility for assigned employees; including appraisal, sickness absence and performance management. Participate in the development of the team quality system and promote quality awareness and the pursuit of a right first-time philosophy. Build and maintain successful relationships with business functions to ensure operations team are fully equipped and supported to deliver against the agreed targets. Maximise use of production and business IT systems and processes (ERP). Experience Experience as a Production Supervisor / Manager and able to demonstrate a successful track record within an engineering/manufacturing environment (aerospace desirable) Able to demonstrate effective line management skills – maintains a firm and fair approach to all aspects of people management including sickness management, disciplines and grievances. Has working knowledge of lean manufacturing and the application of lean tools Effective use of using ERP and business IT systems, to produce quality performance information, reporting and communications. The ability to work flexible working arrangements to accommodate manufacturing shifts.
