Principle Systems Engineer Location: Prestwick As a Principle Systems Engineer You’ll Be Doing: Producing and reviewing Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements, ensuring adherence to agreed standards and procedures while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule targets. Collaborating with other engineering and project teams to develop effective engineering solutions. Planning, executing, and overseeing engineering tasks based on the project lifecycle phase, which may include requirements development, system and equipment design, modelling, system integration, qualification, certification, and testing. Preparing and reviewing specifications, reports, and proposals to ensure technical accuracy and fulfillment of task objectives. Driving the development of new systems by applying best practice systems lifecycle processes. Working closely with customers to support existing systems and resolve any issues. Providing mentorship and guidance to other team members Your Skills and Experiences: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant STEM field (e.g., Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science). In-depth understanding of the system engineering lifecycle and the ability to apply strong systems engineering practices. Experience in Mechanical, Propulsion, Electrical, Avionics, or Fluid Systems Engineering, ideally in aerospace, naval, defence, or automotive industries.
