About The Role   Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Plant and Fleet Manager to join our team for the Scottish Power Energy Network Framework Contract in Bellshill. The Plant and Fleet Manager role involves providing leadership, direction, and hands-on involvement in managing personnel and processes. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement in processes and systems to support strategic objectives and policy deployment. As the Plant and Fleet Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:  Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Plant & Fleet department  Ensure the departments activities are compliant with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Legislative requirements Oversees cost control and KPI performance Maintain a robust on and off hire process for all plant and vehicles with full tractability of who they have been issued to Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects Monitoring performance to ensure all objectives are met and problems are anticipated and resolved Communicate safety, quality, delivery and cost related objectives in a way that motivates the team to achieve them Interface effectively with other contract department leads to achieve overall goals using shared resources Complete performance and development reviews for direct reports Manage, recruit and develop resource to ensure work activities are delivered Produce regular/ad hoc reports on performance / costs, monitor departmental budgets and assist in defining annual operating and capital budgets Maintain and improve FORS accreditation, identifying areas of improvement Ensure processes are in place to minimise disruption to workforce/customers and deal effectively with any complaints concerning plant and transport delivery Ensures appropriate MI is in place for optimal management of plant and fleet/equipment availability, consistently meeting reporting requirements Maintains an excellent working knowledge of, and works proactively and in accordance with, all current and anticipated legislative requirements and best practice relevant to the plant/transport industry Assist the Group transport managers with maintaining the transport compliance standards within the contract Ensures that all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to, including H&S induction and training, operating procedures, near miss reporting and emergency proceduresSkills & Knowledge Requirements: Significant experience at Management level Sound understanding of Plant and Fleet requirements Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply Experience in obtaining FORS accreditation Sound commercial experience Strong interpersonal skills Able to identify and develop processes within operations to improve outputs and measure success Strong leadership and motivational skills Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills Good problem-solving skills, the ability to anticipate potential problems and overcome them effectively Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels Proficiency in PC operating systems (Word / Excel / Outlook) Driving Licence CPC - desirableWhat's in it for you? 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday Pension scheme Life Assurance Private health care Company Car/Car Allowance and fuel card#MorrisonEnergyServices #LI-LP1 #LI-Onsite About The Company M Group Services delivers a range of essential infrastructure services within the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors in the UK & Ireland.
