Our Client is a well-established Automotive company that prides itself on years of knowledge and experience in the re-manufacturing of engines, gearboxes and turbo products for their customers. We have had the great pleasure of working alongside them for over a decade and find ourselves supporting them now in recruiting an experienced Parts & Workshop Co-ordinator on a permanent basis. As their Parts & Workshop Co-ordinator, you will ideally come from an Automotive Parts Stores background and/or have Motor or Garage trade experience. The remuneration available for this role is, to an extent, negotiable and will be based upon relevant experience, plus a full and comprehensive benefits package and bonus. General Responsibilities: * Use OE, third party and aftermarket parts look up systems to source parts for workshop jobs or telephone enquiries from customers; * Liaise with customers over engine or component machine work; * Create job cards for machine work to be carried out by the Engine Machining Rebuild Services workshop. Examples of machine work would be cylinder head skimming/facing/cylinder block boring or crankshaft grinding; * Carry out stock control using Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel; * Raising parts returns to suppliers; * Raising purchase orders in Sage 200; * To assist with cashing up the till at the end of day as and when required; * Hours of work are 45 hours Monday to Friday. Qualifications & Experience ideally required: * You should ideally have a relevant ONC qualification in an Engineering discipline, although time served individuals will also be considered. * You will need to have knowledge of the individual components and parts that make up an Engine; * You will need to have come from an Automotive Parts Co-ordination / Trade Service environment. * You will have excellent communication and customer service skills; * You should possess a positive attitude and display the ability to identify solutions to problems; * You will have experience of using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and Sage 200 or similar; * In-house training will be provided for a proactive candidate with a basic knowledge of the Motor and Garage trade, with the desire to work in a unique and varied role that has the potential for growth.
