We are recruiting an Office and Yard Manager to join our small close-knit team at our Colchester Operations Centre that support each other like a family. You will enjoy working closely alongside your colleagues to deliver and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction that the industry has to offer. The Office and Yard Manager is responsible for leading a combined team of 7, office and yard colleagues to provide excellent service to its customers and to ensure Copart processes are followed under the supervision of the General Manager. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision, hiring, training, development and motivating of all office and yard colleagues to meet company and customer expectations and to maximise productivity. Manage the day-to-day operations of the office and yard, including managing the customer service, dispatch, receiving, auction set-up, vehicle documentation, and protection and maintenance functions. Ensure excellent Customer Service is provided to all customers. Handle customer issues as required/directed. Provide direction to the Office and Yard team regarding duties, goals and responsibilities. Ensure a safe working environment is established and maintained. Ensure all who enter the Operations Centre comply with all Health & Safety and Company procedures including all employees, members, sub-haulers, third parties, general public and designated drivers. Assume overall responsibility for the operating centre in the General Managers absence. Must be computer literate with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Customer service focused (both internal and external customers). Team supervisory experience in an office and/or production-oriented environment where strict Health & Safety processes must be enforced and adhered to (including hiring, training and man-management) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Proactive, can use initiative and work on own when required. Can develop a team and introduce new working practices.
