At Ryder Mobile Maintenance Services (RMMS) we are continually evolving and expanding our team who always provide top level support to our customers on their own premises, thus ensuring our customers can spend more time concentrating on their own business. We take the stress away by being able to come to them and now have a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our mobile team covering the Guildford area. (Within a 30-50 mile radius) Our Mobile HGV Technicians are responsible for the mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance and modification of our fleet vehicles. Ensuring the vehicles remain operational and comply with any legislations. As a qualified HGV Technician to at least NVQ level 2 or equivalent, you will have a track record working in a similar role. About You In order to be a success as a Mobile HGV Technician, you must have the knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining HGV Trailers, Tail lifts, double decks and power units. You’ll be provided with a fully equipped mobile vans attending jobs on customer sites, carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, maintaining the fleet and identifying faults using advanced diagnostic equipment. We work with blue-chip clients and household names and it’s a fast-paced environment with demanding customers. You will have a good track record in Heavy Vehicle maintenance along with the relevant NVQ Level 2 or above, C&G Motor Vehicle Level 2 or 3 and/or similar qualifications. You must also be IT literate as all our work is logged via tablets. This role would suit someone who is passionate about what they do and is able to use their own initiative. A confident and customer friendly approach is also a must! You will work 40 hours per week between Monday – Friday and be available for call outs Other duties will include: * Carrying out preventive maintenance in accordance with Ryder policies and procedures * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects on all vehicles and related ancillary equipment, replacing parts as and when necessary in line with Company and legislative requirements * Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to the required standard * Providing on the job training for other Technicians/Trainees as required * Continually identify possible warranty claims and escalate these to the appropriate person Salary & Benefits As a member of the Ryder team you will receive: * A basic salary of £35,162.40 + productivity bonus with a realistic OTE of £50K * Up to 33 days holiday including bank holidays * Generous pension scheme, with contributions worth up to £1900 per year * Employee Recognition Scheme * Funding for HGV licence * Company Share Scheme * Eye care programme, regular health assessments, Occupational Health to ensure your ongoing well-being * Overtime * Access to 24/7 GP Service * Access to Perkbox discounts About Us Established in the UK in 1971, Ryder has since earned a reputation for delivering solutions that ease complexity and increase efficiency for companies of all sizes.
