Methods Engineer / Motorsport / Oxford  Location – Wantage, Oxfordshire  Salary - £55 - £57,500 Shift – Monday – Friday fully onsite  About An enticing and growth fulfilling opportunity has just arisen with a leading Formula 1 Team. This organisation is one of the longest lasting teams on the grid and are experiencing a big season of change, with that they are looking to a hire Methods Engineer who can come in and bridge the gap between the composites and mechanical teams. The candidate we are looking for needs to be passionate about developing a career in the Formula 1 sector, whilst being able to also be responsible for developing and supporting existing and emerging manufacturing / production processes.  Key responsibilities will be: Routing definition for Work Orders / Process Flow for all parts produced in a Formula One Car. To embed and support a culture of Designing for Manufacture (DFM) into the engineering design process, allowing Engineering/Design to understand the effect of design choices and the impact on manufacturing, efficiency, and performance. To embed and support routing flow for efficiency, cost, and quality improvements. Being the link between Engineering and Production to ensure part flow is effective. Be the go-to person in Operations. Maintain standard time in routings to allow successful scheduling in Operations.Key experience and skills: Ideally degree qualified (MEng in Manufacturing/Production Engineering preferred) or deep technical background and experience of production in metallic and composite production environments. Excellent knowledge of Composites and Metallic components, and understanding of their manufacturing methods and processes. Experience with Motorsport, automotive or aerospace/defence type components and projects would be beneficial.
