Are you a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the Automotive industry? Our client is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role within the Pre-Production function of our client's organisation. Working closely with the Production team, you will collaborate with various departments to coordinate multiple projects and priorities. Key Responsibilities: Utilise Solid Works or similar 3D CAD software to design and develop mountable box bodies for ambulance builds. Prepare compliance information and drawings for testing, certification, and regulatory compliance. Liaise with suppliers for the preparation of fabricated parts drawings. Create workshop build specifications based on customer requirements, including 2D and 3D drawings. Manage change control and update drawings and specifications based on customer meetings. Compile and analyse data using Excel spreadsheets. Prepare IVA applications and other regulatory paperwork. Create working drawings for fabrication. Take on project assignments as required. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software. Experience in project management and coordinating multiple projects. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to adapt quickly to new engineering environments and regulatory requirements. Our client offers a competitive salary range from £35,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on experience.
