Due to a new project, our Engineering customer require 2 Design Engineers to join their team & can offer a hybrid working arrangement. You'll be experienced in mechanical design & you will support engineering programmes within the commercial vehicle, passenger and hypercar automotive sectors. A thorough knowledge of materials (metallics, composites and plastics), mechanical and structural design, CAE, manufacturing and assembly is essential. Key activities: * Design, develop and verify CAD models to support new and existing projects * Develop prototype and concept designs into final production * Perform Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for products and tooling * Solve engineering problems and provide solutions using design best practises * Ensure solutions are technically fit for purpose, reliable and meet appropriate legislation Skills & Experience required: * Bachelor’s degree in design, mechanical or manufacturing engineering * 4+ years industry experience in product design * Use of 3D CAD - CATIA (Previous automotive experience in vehicle design - BIW, chassis or interiors, would be highly advantageous)
