Assisting in the development of manufacturing processes that change the way they build their vehicles; the successful Manufacturing Process Engineer will have the opportunity to be part of exciting new model launches and engineering changes across their vehicle range providing first hand support in the development and execution of all Manufacturing Engineering practices driving improvement in Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management, and Product Delivery. Our client is looking to place a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer on permanent basis working a Day Shift Monday to Friday and benefitting from a salary in the region of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Benefits. Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Engineer: Development and execution of all Manufacturing Engineering practices driving improvement in Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management, and Product Delivery. Process Design and Improvement: Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for automotive components or vehicles, considering factors like efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Continuous Improvement: Continuously analyse existing production processes to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity. Implement process enhancements and best practices accordingly. Process Validation: Validate new manufacturing processes or changes to existing processes to ensure they meet design specifications and comply with quality standards. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve production issues, defects, or non-conformities by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Production Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to facilitate training and knowledge transfer. Other roles will include Design Reviews, PFMEA, DFMEA, Line Balancing, Assembly sequencing, Process Documentation, and Product Traceability methodology, Hours Per Car generation / reporting, Facility layout planning. Quality Control: Collaborate with quality control teams to implement quality checks and inspections at various stages of the production process to maintain product quality and reliability. Production Monitoring: Monitor production processes in real-time to identify deviations or bottlenecks and take proactive measures to address any issues that may arise. Timing Plans: Support the generation of timing plans that support full program delivery activities. Launch Support: Provide content support to the team that supports all prototype build phases on new vehicle programs, including supporting Virtual Build and Manpower Planning activities.
