We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineer to work on site with our client Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, design and optimise manufacturing processes and use your problem-solving skills to analyse data and implement effective solutions. Summary: Start date: ASAP Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended and made permanent Location: Wolverhampton Pay Rate: £30 - £45.00 per hour - Umbrella Hours: Mon - Thurs 8 - 16.45 and Fri 8 -12 Duties Include: Review of new or updated engineering drawings to ensure that the components can be manufactured in an efficient way. Investigation of failures using lean tools and implementing corrective actions and mistake proofing. Investigation into new processes and equipment. Identification of opportunities for continuous improvements, using lean manufacturing techniques. Preparation of written reports and presentations.Requirements: Proven production engineering experience ideally within an electro/mechanical discipline. Able to interpret engineering drawings including geometric tolerancing. Intermediate experience in Office tools eg, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, at all levels. HNC, HND or Degree in appropriate discipline Desirable: Aerospace industry experience, especially with mechanical/electro-mechanical components Experience using SAP, Teamcentre and CAD IT systemsApply now to be part of our organisation and contribute to the future of aerospace manufacturing!
