Job Title: Logistics Manager Location: Swansea Salary: Between £55,000 - £60,000 + Bonus Shift Pattern: 8 – 5 Mon to Thursday 8 – 12:30pm Friday Industry: Automotive Company description: Leading Automotive/Aerospace Manufacturing supplier supplying the UK, Europe and Asia. Currently have operations across the world in order to meet the global needs of their OEM and Tier 1 customers. Duties and responsibilities as a Logistics Manager: * Reporting to the Plant Manager and forming part of the Senior Management team within the UK part of a global automotive manufacturer * Actively participate in all management activities to drive the site forward * Manage and develop relationships with key customers, suppliers and all purchasing colleagues from within the European automotive group * Achieve the European KPI measures with a close focus on OTIF, Premium Freight and Inventory targets * Lead a team and mentoring of all members to maximize the effectiveness of the team through goal setting and process improvement * Control of pre-production material orders and change management to ensure timing is achieved and obsolescence is avoided * Adhere to ISO14001 and TS16949 guidelines Skills and experience required as a Logistics Manager: * Relevant operational leadership experience within Logistics and Supply Chain in a warehousing and distribution environment * Previous experience of managing and leading teams * Self-motivated individual with an analytical mind and an eye for detail * Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills * Strong problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set * Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office/equivalent * An understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques and process improvement experience * Sound understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation How to Apply Ben Kenyon (phone number removed) Job Ref: 248 All applicants must live in the UK and be eligible to work and live in the UK
