Our client is looking for a hard-working and determined candidate to join them as a Light Vehicle apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic people to kick start their career within the automotive industry.
You will receive first class training in all the latest servicing and diagnostic techniques to enable you to better help your customers whether they need a standard service, MOT or wanting an engine rebuild.
Day to day tasks will vary but include:
• Servicing – carrying out checks
• MOT’s – identifying parts with wear and tear
• Vehicle Maintenance – replacing / repairing engine parts
• Diagnostics – using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Maintaining repair and service records
No skills required as full training will be given, just bring your enthusiasm
Ideally GCSE’s 9 to 3 (A-D) or equivalent in Maths and English
•This course usually takes 3 years to gain a Standards Level 3 qualification. •To do this you'll go to a further education (FE) college, for 15 x one week blocks. •The rest of the time will be spent in a place of employment where you will get to learn practical skills from seeing the real working environment •Once you pass your assessments and progress through your course you will be able to start completing tasks on your own. •To ensure you are competent in completing tasks on your own a Remit assessor will visit you periodically at the work place to complete assessment testing with you. Training is delivered to suit the needs of every apprentice and their employer, where possible, and includes: •On-the-job supported study •E-learning •Distance learning and self-study •Classroom sessions •Off-the-job training •Block training
You will need to have a high level of attention to detail and working to a high standard to ensure the customer’s car is in safe hands and has been restored to its previous pristine condition.
The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to further their employability prospects within this sector.
