A Midlands-based battery cell research and manufacturing centre is currently recruiting a Learning and Development Assistant to join their L&D team. This position is to effectively develop the competency requirements for the organisation and support the delivery of L&D activity and key projects across the business.    This role is open to experienced L&D candidates but also to those who are at graduate level, looking to kickstart a professional career in a dynamic organisation. Reporting directly into the L&D Coordinator, you will be provided with training and the chance to develop a skillset that will see you pursuing a successful and long-term career in the Learning and Development functions of a rapidly expanding business. The Learning and Development Assistant duties: Support Development/competency requirements for roles in conjunction with the L&D Coordinator Champion Competency/Training Matrix and Individual Learning Plans Support creation of Internal Individual Development Reviews Support the L&D Coordinator with Project Plans, including timings Support and Champion different methods of training delivery (AR/VR/MR) Drive Completion of SWIs in conjunction with Process Specialists and HODs Administration of internal training (organizing timings dates and ensuring internal staff are aware of when training is taking place) The successful Learning and Development Assistant will possess the following: Ability to use own initiative and the willingness to learn new skills surrounding L&D functions such as the use and importance of competency matrices Strong organisational, research and communication skills Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and the ability to navigate various systems Good interpersonal skills and the ability to address difficult conversations, taking a tailored approach to different individuals Previous experience surrounding L&D, story boarding, training or competency matrix and creating work instructions or SWIS is advantageous but not essential
