This is a unique opportunity for a person with the right capabilities, experience and attitude to contribute to the definition, implementation and ongoing development of a new IT environment. They will participate at all levels in their business domain, and work with other Business Partners and functions across other domains to define and establish class-leading and customer-focused IT systems, processes and services. To work primarily with the Manufacturing business, and supporting Logistics and Supply Chain functions, to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing delivery of the domain application toolset. The Business Partner will act as the interface for IT, and guide the business towards practical solutions that can be implemented to achieve business objectives, and deliver continuous improvements. As well as being the IT representative for Manufacturing, the Business Partner will work with other domain IT Business Partners to establish a pro-active, customer-focused IT service delivery function, with common systems and processes to deliver an optimised and integrated IT landscape. Responsibilities * Ensure the successful deployment and ongoing delivery of IT systems and processes for Manufacturing (and Logistics and Supply Chain). * Capture and categorise the high-level requirements for Manufacturing. * Analyse, interpret and document the requirements * Understand the functionality of the applications to be deployed. * Work with application specialists to map OOTB functionality to requirements, and where necessary, identify essential requirements that will need to be addressed through application configuration changes. * Work with the project management team to create appropriate programme and project plans * Work with relevant solution architects and technical specialists to assist in the definition of solutions. * Work with the business / customer to determine requirements for deployment of the new applications and functionality - communications, training, support, etc. * Work with appropriate internal marketing partners and project teams to create and manage communications. * Work with service delivery and end-user support capability to create training, support and establish appropriate service levels * Work with appropriate technical resources to identify opportunities for improvement that can be proposed to the business - build the business cases to support these proposals. * Where necessary, take responsibility for IT related activities within your domain, including project management, service delivery, and end-user support. * Work with service delivery and IT PMO to establish and maintain service metrics, benefits measures and risk and issue logs. * Maintain a register of roles, and organisation charts for the domain. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential * Educated to degree level, or with equivalent vocational qualification     * Extensive knowledge of manufacturing environment, systems and processes, ideally through experience in this area. * Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and process. * Fluent English, written and spoken. * Advanced PC skills - MS Office, Excel and Project. * Excellent communication, and strong negotiation skills * Strong analytical skills * Service or solution delivery * Customer services  * Ability to engage, listen interpret and respond positively. * Self-starter, and proven finisher. * Committed to achieving the right result for the good of the organisation Desirable * Experience working in projects related to, or alongside of, manufacturing systems and applications. * Solid understanding of IT for relevant business applications / environment. * Experience with and knowledge of SAP ERP, Teamcenter or equivalent product development and manufacturing applications. * Ideally you will have experience working in an Agile or Waterfall environment. * A proven ability to collaborate with experts in order to establish the technical vision and analyse the trade-offs between usability and performance needs * Experience in similar role working between IT & business users * Formal Project Management accreditation * Domain relevant qualification / accreditation UK travel will be necessary in support of other sites. Foreign travel possible though unlikely to be frequent
