At present we are looking for an Inside Sales Manager to cover an initial 6 month contract on our Wimborne site. The Sales Manager will manage the bids and proposals aspects of significant programmes, providing integrated functional expertise in support of business performance. The Sales Manager is the principal co-ordinator and driver supporting the Business Team in securing new business from existing customer base. The Sales Manager will support growth and order intake objectives by managing the business win process and supporting negotiations for Inside Sales from cradle to grave (quotation to order acknowledgement) in line with Company Policies. The Sales Manager is responsible for co-ordinating all new bids across the Business Team, managing all new bids through the Cobham Delivery Framework (CDF) process, holding regular ‘bid boards’ to track progress, identify and address issues and points of escalation, and highlight risks and opportunities in respect of Order Intake. Accurate bid planning and execution to ensure a clear strategy, timely functional inputs, ‘right-first-time’ approvals and submission in line with promise dates. * Ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of bids and orders and the accurate loading of sales orders in line in line with current business process as defined in the BMS, CDF and associated KPIs. Leading CARs in pursuing submissions until order receipt and acceptance. * Prepare inputs and support to Tender Vets, project and management reviews and BU reporting. * Supporting the Business Team and IPTs through the provision of timely and accurate Inside Sales information relating to customers, products, platforms and issues which might influence Capture Plans and customer relationships. * A key point of support to IPT leads, engaging with both customers and internal stakeholders and driving the business to meet Order Intake targets. Holding regular customer facing reviews where required and providing a single point of contact for tracking and reporting on customer issues relating to Inside Sales. Managing CARs in providing equivalent support at a BAU level. * Develop and manage Customer Account Representatives to meet Business Unit and functional objectives * Analyse CRM to ensure the completeness, accuracy and reliability of order intake data. * Compile regular summaries of sales data to the business and support the Business Team in forecasting and presenting data for demand management (SIOP) and Order Intake forecasting purposes. * Support IPTs in accurate reporting of repair status * Support C&C functional initiatives, including training and continuous improvement activities. * Hands on experience in line and team management * Experience in bid management * Experience of assessing the impact of complex commercial issues on the business and presenting a considered view on strategy * International commercial awareness highly desirable * Experience in a defence contracting environment would be an advantage * UK MoD & US DoD contracts knowledge would be an advantage.
