HGV Tanker Technician / HGV Trailer Technician / Tanker Mechanic Fleet Job Title - HGV Tanker Technician / HGV Trailer Technician / Tanker Mechanic Salary - £32,000 - £33,000 Hours - Monday to Friday I am currently working with a nationwide trailer rental company in the Essex area who are now looking to expand their team with the addition of a qualified HGV Tanker Technician / HGV Trailer Technician / Tanker Mechanic. HGV Tanker Technician / HGV Trailer Technician / Tanker Mechanic job role: To service, repair & maintain tankers to a high standard within the company guidelines and to conform to all current mandatory & EHS legislation. To ensure all service documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Must be able to competently complete chassis inspections and repairs Preparation for thorough pressure testing and rectification of necessary defects. To report up at an early stage to the branch or workshop manager all problems or defects relating to the tankers which could suggest a manufacturing issue with any of the components. Requirements for HGV Tanker Technician / HGV Trailer Technician / Tanker Mechanic: Must be a "Time Served" vacuum tanker technician / engineer or possess City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications & experience and have a technical background /experience in vacuum tanker repairs. Experience and competence in Mig and Tig welding in both Steel and Alloy would be beneficial. Experience of gully suckers, vacuum tanks and recyclers would be beneficial but not necessarily essential.
