We are currently recruiting for a company based in Histon who are recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. They’re looking for someone who has previous experience within a similar role and working hours will be on a 45 hour a week basis Monday to Friday. Typical duties would include: * Completing maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring readiness for MOTs. * Ensuring the completion and proper sign-off of service and defect paperwork. * Conducting comprehensive vehicle services and inspections, reporting on vehicle condition where required. * Liaise with 3rd parties regarding external vehicle maintenance. * Diagnosing and reporting any faults, defects, or potential issues in vehicles. * Work aligned with company health and safety policy. * Maintain a clean and tidy working environment. The successful candidate: * Previous vehicle maintenance experience. * NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair, or an equivalent qualification. (Preferable) * Will be enthusiastic, proactive and take pride in their work. * Good communication and team working skills.
