Heritage Skills Academy is looking for world-class Tutors and Assessors to train the next generation of Heritage Engineering Technicians for the Classic Vehicle and Heritage Motorsport Industry. HSA has established a unique position as the UK’s leading Training Provider for the Heritage Engineering Sector. We offer a national programme for apprentices employed in specialist companies preparing, maintaining, restoring, renovating and servicing Classic Vehicles and Historic Race Cars. Our Training Academy is based at the internationally renowned ‘Bicester Heritage’ and ‘Bicester Motion’ site in Oxfordshire and by 2020 will occupy over 10,000 sqft of state-of-the-art workshops and classrooms.


We have full and part time tutoring and assessing positions available for Mechanical, Coachbuilding and Trimming for Industry Specialists who share our passion and commitment to training the next generation of Heritage Engineers.
If you have relevant experience, training, knowledge and skills relating to classic vehicle technology (or would like to become a tutor in this sector), please read further.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate

  • A desire to work with apprentices
  • A passion for older technology and solving the engineering problems they present
  • Experience of practical workshop training and mentoring
  • The ability to engage and inspire new engineers
  • Have a relevant teaching qualification (or be prepared to work towards one)
  • Have relevant assessing qualifications (or be prepared to work towards them)
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to attend national shows, competitions and racing events to promote apprenticeships and career opportunities
