We are currently recruiting on behalf of a multi -award -winning automotive company based in the Leeds area. They are currently looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of a Group Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager. Duties will include: * Leading and Managing the purchasing and logistics department. * Implementing strategic supply chain initiatives as well as managing supply chain operations. * Forging and sustaining relationships with old and new suppliers. * Accountability for the day-to-day aspects of the purchasing departments. * Control purchasing department budgets in line with the delegation of Authority. * Stakeholder negotiation in regards to prices and terms. * Ensure supplier contracts & assessments are done in line with the company regulations. * Involvement with purchasing , sales forecasting and planning process. * Arrange and contribute to courses such as DGSA’s. * Develop and implement purchasing instructions, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will: * Have an understanding of the automotive industry. * Strong leadership and management qualifications. * Extensive ERP experience. * Will have an understanding of commercial insights and trends to combat challenges with supply chain operations, e.g., legal à Brexit, Covid, import and export regulations ETC. * Excellent communication skills.
