Purpose To achieve positive media coverage in the UK and Ireland for all Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s brands, products and services: Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Fiat, Jeep and Fiat Professional. Main Duties & Responsibilities * To be responsible for the FCA press fleet (encompassing Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Jeep), managing the support agency and reporting movements to the PR Director, PR Managers and press workshop * The day to day management of the FCA press fleet to include: new model orders, in-life repairs, parking fines/congestion charge management, end-of-life disposal, photography, forecasting vehicle requirements and liaising with product placement agencies * To provide a prompt, accurate and enthusiastic media response at all times, thus fulfilling an essential PR role of information provider * Assisting in the control and implementation of the operating budget relating to the FCA press fleet * To assist the PR team in the planning and organisation of media activity, including new product launches in conjunction with and as directed by the PR department, both in the UK and Europe * To represent the company at official functions and media events, and to perform the role of company spokesperson at such events * To monitor media coverage generated from test vehicle loans and report back to senior management * To maintain and update internal media databases * To assist in all press office activities, working with all brands, helping to set high departmental standards and to create an authoritative, credible reputation for the Company, protecting and/or defending its reputation as necessary * To liaise with other internal UK departments and Turin–based head office colleagues, in order to become familiar with company strategy as it relates to sales, marketing, customer services, dealer development etc. Qualifications and Experience : * Degree, preferably in PR or a related subject * Strong written and spoken English * Experience of working in a PR/comms role * Driving licence
