A leading motorsport supplier is currently seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Engineer. A positive, pro-active approach is critical and the ability to work to rapidly changing requirements under extremely tight timescales is a must. Role Summary: You will be supporting the design team as well as the production engineering initiatives and development of processes across the Fast-Make side of the business. Working closely with the Engineering, Quality and Production teams you will ensure that new products are introduced successfully and robustly onto the shop floor, existing products are managed and continuously improved, helping to ensure that quality and delivery targets are achieved, and developing new processes and techniques to help improve all associated processes. You should be a highly capable, confident individual who has a good understanding of the Design, Production and Quality requirements of the business and an individual job, communicating well with all key stakeholders to deliver improved processes, quality and throughput of parts. Key Responsibilities 1. Support and lead Production Engineering initiatives, working closely with the Engineering, Quality and Production teams. 2. Ensure that new products are introduced into production successfully, and the operators have clear instructions to progress further. 3. Work with machine operators to ensure that the manufacturing team have all items required for manufacture. 4. Manage stock levels and ensure traceability within every job in the department. 5. Troubleshoot issues with Design Engineering and Production and implement robust solutions to address this. Personal Specification • Clear open two-way communication skills, with an approachable, positive and pro-active attitude. • Methodical approach to problem solving, with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to apply fundamental Engineering principles to solve practical problems. • Ability to work on own initiative, with the confidence to assert themselves where appropriate. • Flexibility and willing to learn new skills. • Technical, hands-on approach with a good understanding of the commercial implications and requirements of a high-volume project. • PC Literate and able to use or quickly learn SolidWorks, SAP Business One, and Adept. • Enthusiastic and flexible in performing a wide range of tasks within and sometimes outside of their standard job description.
