A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Shift Fuel Reception Operator to join our team at Ardley ERF in Oxfordshire, working 42.5 hours a week on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern. Energy Recovery Facilities are vital in supporting the UK's ambition to reduce waste in an efficient and effective manner, helping to reduce the impact of waste on climate change. After reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible, our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) provide the infrastructure to efficiently recover energy from residual waste, meaning landfill becomes the last resort The Fuel Reception Operator is a vital team player within the Shift Team, predominantly responsible for the fuel reception at the ERF and other plant areas. Your duties will include traffic management, operating heavy plant, operation of overhead cranes, forklift trucks and any other machinery as required in accordance with ERF procedures. Additional duties may comprise of weighbridge operation, plant checks, site cleaning duties and Tipping Hall management. You will focus on the handling the fuel reception process and bunker management out of hours and during off-peak times. Our idealFuel Reception Operator will have: Experience in the operation of mobile plant Lifting / Slinging, plant or FLT certification Experience of safe systems of work, permits for Work, procedures, risk assessments and associated safety documentation Engineering, Technical or Operational qualification Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently At Viridor, we invest in our people to reward them for their hard work.
