Fleet Maintenance Assistant 2pm – 11pm (9 hour shift) You will be: * Supporting the Maintenance Manager with vehicle checks. * Fleet maintenance. * Shunting/shuttling. * Drop off and collection of vehicles from authorized service providers. * Responsible for PPE, replacement of tyres/lubricant/consumables for fleet. * Replace broken or faulty parts as and when needed. * Data inputting of inspection sheets/reports for management on Excel. * Reporting and planning of defect rectification. * Rectifying and testing repairs to ensure vehicle is roadworthy. * Assist in fleet management in yard and prep for sale. * Requesting quotes and booking in repairs once management has agreed. * Research and book services when required from external providers. Essential skills: * Experience in vehicle maintenance. * Must hold a clean driving license. * You must be organised and can work on your own initiative as well as within the team. * Must have excellent people skills as you will be working with a large workforce. * Experience in a similar role is essential. * Experience of driving large vehicles of 3.5 tonne is preferred. * A good understanding of vehicular mechanics and defect rectification is necessary. We are looking for a lively and friendly person to take up a position for the responsibility of vehicle care and maintenance. £20-£24k per annum depending on experience
