Here at Sammons Group we are delighted to be working with one of our oldest clients to support them in bringing a new Finance Assistant into the organisation. The role reports into the Finance Shared Service Manager, who is looking for someone with a strong rounded understanding of finance, and is looking  to take their experience to the next level and develop a career in finance. Their role will involve supporting all aspects of the finance department, including: Allocation of daily receiptsonto ACS, Navision and CALMS financesystems. Query investigation and resolution for unallocated receipts. Completing bank reconciliations. Assisting with the resolution of dealer refunds, including adding any interest and processing fee adjustments to the CALMS finance system. Manually add invoices or credit notes to CALMS. Assist with the daily Direct Debit collection process. Help monitor and manage team email mailbox queries. Answer telephone calls and deal with the customer queries. Ensure vendors have signed self-billing arrangements. Add and maintain customer and vendor details in Navision. Complete compliance checks for new bank detail requests. Add new General Ledger and Foreign Exchange rates in Navision. Other ad-hoc duties as required.  Skills and expertise Logical approach to problem solving through a methodical and organised manner. Numeric abilities, including accuracy of data input and reconciliation skills. Familiarity with all areas of accounting including sales ledger, bank reconciliations, purchase ledger, nominal ledger and reporting. Agile approach, with the ability to keep up with the pace of change, ability to learn fast and adapt to new conditions quickly and effectively. Effective communicator, with good oral and written skills. Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload and use own initiative. Ability to meet deadlines. A team player with a can do/flexible attitude to work and helping colleagues. MS Office skills are an advantage – including data Manipulation though MS Excel that includes, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and pivot tables. Experience of Navision Accounting software would be an advantage.
