Team Lead Hardware & Software Engineering, Aviation Join the Future of Flight Are you an aerospace engineering leader passionate about revolutionizing air travel? We're working with an aerospace technology startup based in Austria, to hire the  Team Lead for Hardware & Software Engineering to spearhead the development of their 360 degree thrust vectoring eVTOL propulsion system. About the team: This team is creating exciting, unexplored eVTOL technologies with a suite of patents and partnerships. The mission is to make personal air mobility accessable and practical. This team is  committed to sustainability and innovation, building a future where clean, quiet, and efficient flight is the norm. The Role As the Team Lead for Hardware & Software Engineering, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing the core technologies. You'll lead a team of engineers in creating cutting-edge hardware and software solutions that meet the stringent safety and performance standards of the aviation industry. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of hardware and software components. Ensure adherence to critical aviation standards (DO178, DO254, ARP4754) for safety and reliability. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members.Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems engineering, or a related field. Minimum 6 years of experience in designing and developing HW and SW systems for aerospace - ideally within eVTOL or electric aviation. Knowledge of DO178,254 and ARP4754 Deep understanding of embedded systems, electric motors, and aerospace engineering principles. Proven track record in leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
