OUTSIDE IR35 Scope of Service:  Working within the Technical Conformity Management team and liaising with other departments and various levels within the business to deliver monitoring tests of processes relevant to Technical Conformity. Carry out monitoring of processes following a risk based approach to meet the minimum requirements as set out in the VW Group Golden Rules Handbook.  Maintain a list of quality criteria for each relevant process based on risk analysis and continuous improvement that incorporates lessons learned and findings from previous tests. Support continuous improvement of Engineering processes and quality management. Main Responsibilities:  Technical Conformity Process monitoring. Responsible for planning, organising and carrying out monitoring test activities on technical conformity relevant processes. Complete regular effectiveness tests to establish Engineering’s adherence to processes and requirements relating to technical conformity in line with relevant business policies, processes and task instructions. Responsible for agreeing the list of processes to be tested and their testing schedule with management and reviewing this list on a regular basis against set criteria. Responsible for carrying out of monitoring tests to the agreed schedule with process owners/operatives and escalating to management if necessary, e.g. if testing schedule is not adhered to or significant non-conformities/risks are identified or suspected. Collating random sample evidence (e.g. relevant documentation, sign-off sheets, test reports etc.) from testing and ensuring evidence is stored in an agreed secure location along with test results and report. Responsible for reporting accurate results of testing against the set criteria to management in a timely manner. Liaise with Technical Conformity Management Team for technical direction and support. Provide help and guidance to Engineers including maintaining Engineers’ awareness of current process requirements and updates to best practice.Monitoring Test Process Support the development and continuous improvement of the testing process, risk assessment and test criteria. Regularly review and propose new/modifications to the range of processes to be monitored. Regularly review and propose new/modifications to the quality criteria used for the monitoring tests. Support the development and maintenance of key process metrics for monitoring test and results.Continuous process improvements Supporting continuous process improvement activities relating to technical conformity and Engineering quality management.Other technical conformity and departmental support activities Support other relevant activities to improve technical compliance including (but not limited to): team email inbox process and monitoring, training and communication material related to technical conformity.Key Skills & Experience:  Experience in product development, including demonstrable hands-on experience in an engineering, processes or compliance role in an automotive OEM. Good working knowledge and understanding of processes, compliance and auditing/effectiveness testing/process monitoring techniques. Ability to communicate and influence colleagues at various levels (including across the VW Group) Skilled in negotiation and obtaining good outcomes when challenged. High level of analytical data analysis and interpretation and ability to train others. Adept in multiple data handling and secure storage systems, e.g. VW Group systems. Able to work accurately under pressure, with rigorous attention to detail. Extensive experience in Group system architecture and processes. Working knowledge of compliance processes e.g. Golden Rules Handbook and associated processes across the R & D departments Practical & Technical Knowledge:  Strong communication and influencing skills. IATF16949 (automotive quality management standard) auditor training. Self-starter with ability to prioritise workload and work independently as well as part of a team. Proven analytical and organisational capability. Working knowledge of ASPICE. Understanding of business processes, compliance and auditing/monitoring test techniques. Working knowledge of risk based analytical tools and methods.
