Expleo UK are currently seeking a permanent full time Engine Health Management Engineer to support our Gas Turbine 'In-Service Engineering' department. The salary will be dependant on experience/skill level. The successful candidate will be based in our Derby office however travel to our other main aerospace offices in Bristol, Birmingham and Preston may be required. Equipment Health Management (EHM) is a key technology in managing service events and supporting engine removal planning by analysis and interpretation of engine reports to determine the health of the engine. Responsibilities: Ensuring the fleet are EHM Compliant: Analyse gas turbine performance & mechanical data using latest Engine Health Management tools & techniques to check operators are complying with data requirements and where necessary liaise with customer support teams and worldwide airline operators to reach data requirements. Investigation of missing EHM data: Define the problem check internal procedures analyse the available data identify root-cause create recommendations diagnose potential anomalies in asset operation and liaise with the EHM service provider data carriers and operators in order to resolve the issue. Provide customers with short term troubleshooting advice and longer-term fleet management information Identifying risks and opportunities to improve the data transfer mechanisms: Keep up to date with the latest developments and new projects coming into service mitigate against potential risks and seek out opportunities to improve the end-to-end data transmission process. Maintain best practice guidance for analysis of assigned engine types Build a knowledge database of effective resolutions for future use and for future EHM toolset developments Author and deliver documentation technical reports or presentations in support of root cause investigations into EHM data transmission and missing data issues. In addition the engineer must continue the development of a customer tool that identifies operated flights and associated EHM data. This intends to automate missing data analysis and root-cause identification which will enable operators to pro-actively monitor their aircraft. The engineer will capture requirements define logic and interface with programmers to ensure the tool is delivered. Required Background: Knowledge of the EHM data transfer mechanisms including knowledge of data transfer providers ARINC and SITA as well as on-board aircraft data capture methodologies. Experience of manipulating data to provide effective analysis would be advantageous Working knowledge of MS Office and Strong IT user skills Numerate able to work under pressure capable of working to tight short-term deadlines and self-motivated Ideally have a degree or time spent in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering with a sound understanding of Gas Turbine technology Experience in EHM service engine performance service engineering or product support preferred but not necessary Not essential but would be beneficial if the candidate had experience of Matlab Python and SQL
