Role Overview As an Electro-mechanical Engineer, your role will be to provide specialist electro-mechanical knowledge for industrialization-focused, individual, and collaborative programs in the area of electrical machines and drive systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on the specification, design, development, and calibration of electro-mechanical systems for advanced cross-sector technology projects. Responsibilities: *Apply industry knowledge of electro-mechanical design to deliver successful project outcomes. *Produce drawings and apply GD&T related to machines and drives. *Conduct mechanical analysis, CAE, CFD, stress analysis, and thermal analysis. *Utilize experience in a range of relevant components and manufacturing techniques, including electric machine assembly, laminations, additive manufacturing, tooling, coolant sleeves, shafts and rotor dynamics, sensors, and housings. *Provide effective electro-mechanical engineering solutions, implementing innovative design techniques. *Take responsibility for the delivery of key components, ensuring adherence to project timelines. *Produce high-quality documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Requirements: *Broad and deep knowledge of electro-mechanical design applied to electrical drives, electrification, and hybrid systems. *High-level analytical capability to facilitate conceptual thinking, innovation, and creativity. *Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and projects. *Organizational ability to work well with a diverse cross-functional team. *Proven track record in developing, applying, and delivering experimental and modelling research methodologies and techniques.
