Electrical Systems Engineer BRIEF OVERVIEW - Role: Electrical Systems Engineer - Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire - Role type: Permanent - Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 - Working type: Hybrid working (3 days on-site, 2 days working from home) Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Systems Engineer to work with an innovative engineering business, with the goal to bring electric and sustainable technology to life. You'll be supporting the growth ambitions of the business over the coming years, which is an exciting period for the team right now. You'll be assisting the electrical systems department to design and develop the electrical systems used in HV batteries and power distribution systems on various applications, such as automotive, off-highway and rail. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and document system and component requirements - Collaborate with suppliers to deliver components and systems to projects - Assist with the construction and troubleshooting of projects - Create system architecture diagrams and circuit schematics to support electrical design activities - Participate in hazard analysis, risk management, and DFMEA for components and systems as needed - Support virtual and physical builds for components and vehicles - Generate and present reports for internal and external audiences - Assist with technical and project reviews with the customer - Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and all other departments REQUIRED SKILLS - Experience with electrical integration in automotive or motorsport projects - Good understanding of on-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, etc) - An understanding of Electric Vehicle engineering DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL) - HV charging, HV battery and/or HV powertrain knowledge - CANalyzer - Experience with DOORS, Polarion or similar - Functional Safety (ISO26262) understanding - Degree in a relevant discipline
