Due to continued growth & investment one of the Europe’s leading research organisations has a new vacancy for an Electrical Systems Design Engineer. Applicants must have proven track record in electrical engineering design and a good understanding of electrical principals aligned to machinery and distribution systems. Commutable from: Oxford, Swindon, Milton Keynes, Reading, Bicester, Banbury, Aylesbury, Newbury, Witney, Reading. Salary: £ 48,000 - £ 52,000 + pension + benefits Suitable for: Slectrical Systems Engineer, Systems Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Principal Engineer, The Role Working for one of Europe’s leading research and development organisations the Electrical Systems Design Engineer will be responsible for defining the electrical systems requirements, creating design specs, generating layout designs and delivering operational systems & equipment. Key responsibilities: Plan, coordinate and delivers the electrical systems specifications Provides technical leadership for electrical equipment designs from specifications. Produce and review electrical distribution designs Prepare and review electrical schematics and BOMs Advises on project scope in collaboration with project managers Identify opportunities for improvements in technical processes Actively maintains knowledge of technical developments in field ensuring Coach and supervise less experienced staff Assist in future planning of resources and strategy. Manage the testing and commissioning of systems The Candidate Extensive electrical engineering design experience and the ability to assess and perform mechatronic design work. Ability to design complex mechatronic systems Proven ability to deliver complex engineering projects from cradle to grave Experience of maintenance of legacy equipment, reverse engineering where appropriate.
