MPI Limited are looking for Aircraft Technical Electrical Instructors to teach Aircraft Wiring to multi-national students with an age range of 16-35 in both classroom & workshop environment based in the Wolverhampton area. The Aircraft Technical Electrical Instructors position is an ongoing contract, working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year. (This is due to holiday shutdown periods). These posts focus on Aircraft Wiring, its Husbandry and Repair. To include Soldering, Electrical Crimping, Fibre Optics and associated testing and measuring. Your responsibilities will include creating and delivering both theoretical and practical instruction. The supervision of assessment, marking of assessment and course work, student mentoring and management, along with training support tasks. Candidates must have served a recognised aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or relevant period of training that includes an aircraft electrical wiring element. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in that trade or specification, preferably in a military air environment. Experience of training delivery is desirable, although formal training in Defence Instructional Techniques can be made available to a successful candidate Applicants will be required to undertake a trade related test and deliver a 10-15 minute presentation at the interview stage. PAY £24.03 per hour – Limited £19.11 per hour - PAYE Normal working hours are 08.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday and 08.30 – 16.30 Friday. There are times when candidates are required to work outside of these hours and if this happens they are given time off in lieu. The successful applicant will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure at a cost of £25 and also undergo an MOD BPSS Security Clearance; this will only be required at job offer stage
