Electrical Engineer Ashford, Kent Circa £38k per annum 30 days Annual Leave Pension Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer ready to make a significant impact in the battery industry? We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our team in the role of Electrical Engineer based in Ashford. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and deliver production documents for both new products and updates to legacy products. Conduct testing and simulations to ensure the robustness and viability of designs, driving the team towards optimisation. Generate test specifications to ensure product reliability, safety, and robustness, including simulation and hardware/test equipment interactions. Perform fault-finding and root cause analysis of technical issues, troubleshooting and solving simple to complex problems. Monitor tool and process stability, developing action plans to address any long-term stability issues. Collaborate with research & development teams to translate product goals into performance targets, defining technical requirements and feasible deliverables. Proactively develop supplier relationships and lead discussions on new materials and technologies to advance the battery industry. Capture knowledge from milestone projects, drafting standards and test procedures. Maintain compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental (SHE), quality, and best practice requirements. Experience & Skills Required: Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 to 5 years of experience in the battery or similar industry. Familiarity with Battery Technologies, electrochemical processes, and their applications. Ability to diagnose, test, and fault-find electrical systems. Highly motivated, capable of achieving results with minimal supervision. Proficient in multitasking, working well in potentially stressful environments and high production lines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, aligning effectively with team members and customers. This position is available immediately.
