DVP Engineer Oxfordshire – Hybrid working available. DVP Engineer required by a hugely respected company specialising in EV innovation in the design, development, and production of their industry-leading battery management systems in a variety of industry sectors including heavy industry projects, automotive, motorsport, aerospace & defence. As DVP Engineer, you’ll develop verification and validation plans on programmes, likely automotive or heavy industry. Utilising your knowledge/experience as a subject matter expert, you’ll support the test engineers and test operations manager (responsible for carrying out/monitoring the tests) in the planning stages and collate and review the output from these tests. Creation and Management of Design Verification Plans (DVPs) to ensure efficient and timely completion of product test programmes. Consolidate the requirements/DFMEA/legislation-led tests into a plan optimised given any constraints on test assets, facilities, and child component maturity. Support trade-off negotiations and mediate where required between attributes and/or system groups to resolve DVP conflicts, ensuring optimal balancing of test requirements vs timing/cost/risks. Support the creation of supplemental design verification methods and/or recommend revisions consistent with technology evolution and changing customer needs. Review DV activities to confirm that they are appropriate, thorough, and realistic. Assemble costs on projects and provide forecasts for the gateways. About you: Experience in the automotive, motorsport, off-highway, or aerospace industries in 1 or more areas: Electrification, energy storage systems, ePowertrain, power electronics, body or chassis systems is desirable. Experience managing DVP programmes at various stages of design maturity from early proof of concept models and mules, through prototypes and on to full production unit verification/validation is preferred. An engineering qualification (e.g. Degree) in mechanical, automotive, electrical, or aerospace engineering. Knowledge of JIRA, Polarion or Teamcenter would be advantageous.
