This is an ongoing temporary role, hours are Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis. Chelmsford CM1 7FJ As a Senior/Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they remain in a safe and operational condition to support the high-paced delivery of 24/7 healthcare services. You will utilise your advanced technical skills and expertise to maximise vehicle availability by independently diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues across a range of vehicles, including ambulances, patient transport vehicles, and administrative vehicles. The Fleet Department is responsible for the design, testing and evaluation of operational vehicles, their procurement and issue to A&E Operations, the in-life compliance, service planning and up-time management (operational life) of the vehicle, and the final decommissioning and disposal at the end of their life. It is also responsible for all ordering of lease vehicles to support functions, including business lease cars.
