Opportunity: Technical Customer Services Manager-Fleet Technical services Client: Established in late 1980's and headquartered in Leicester, this UK subsidiary of a Global business, supporting clients in the UK and Ireland and is responsible for the assembly and sales of OE equipment, heavy duty suspension products and spares for industrial trailers and heavy machinery. Its service provision also incorporates maintenance and servicing services on its products. Enjoying continuing growth, a Technical Customer Services Manager is required to ensure the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction is maintained. Technical Customer Services Manager This position provides a wide remit with a high level of client interface. You will manage and be directly responsible for the fleet technical services warranty workload, ensuring your team delivers a consistently high service provision incorporating timeliness, quality and customer service As Technical Customer Service Manager you will be front and centre in matters relating to key customers warranty negotiations, balancing commercial requirements with customer goodwill. Additionally, you will manage the supply base to gain their support in resolving field quality problems and to maximise their support of warranty costs, to include managing and minimising technical risk emanating from performance in the field and on new product introductions via internal processes, and cooperation with the German based HQ. Other aspects of this role will include: The understanding of vehicle operational requirements and trends and their current and future impact on product performance. Failure identification/Warranty. Root cause identification over the complete build, operation and maintenance cycle. Corrective action implementations. Review trend analysis of claims. Consider overall market dynamics and politics when dealing with customers.In the role of Customer Technical Service Manager you will be liaising with a wide range of customer types to include fleet engineers, transport management, workshops, trailer builders (engineers, productions and quality), and Industry associations (SMMT, RHA, FTA, TWIP etc). Development of best practice within the fleet technical services department. Development of training modules Engage with and develop internal staffYou will Manage a team of application engineers to agree technical solutions offered to trailer builders and manage the support to trailer builders in the engineering process (roll stability, turning circle, brake calculations, installation instructions, drawing and model generation, technical advice), identifying opportunities for improvement. Manage trailer builders in their assembly processes. Enhance NPI development (internally and at European HQ) as expert advisor.Ideally from an engineering background and experienced in fleet management and on-site servicing of equipment, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a successful and growing business, helping to shape its service provision and driving performance.
