My aerospace supply chain client in Surrey has created a brand new role of Customer Quality & Compliance Engineer. The Customer Quality & Compliance Engineer is accountable for ensuring that the company Quality Management System (QMS) complies with the Customer expectations in terms of quality of delivered goods and services. They will be the point of contact for assigned customers and for all the related quality aspects, within the business. Main Responsibilities: · Understand the company Quality standards, test metrics, acceptance and final inspection norms; · Acknowledge the quality standards set by the company and by national and international standards (AS9100 and AS9120), as well as the additional requirements stated by the assigned Customers; · Monitor Quality key performance indicators and promote any corrective action, with the aim to optimize the satisfaction of the assigned Customers; · Identify gaps of the Global QMS vs. the specific Customer requirements, asking assistance from the Central Quality System; · Collaborate with the Central Quality System for the follow-up of quality non-conformity related to the assigned Customers; · Interact with the client about quality issues, participate in the Customers audits; · Manage Customers returns, according to the company procedures and work instructions · Interact with the Global Compliance organization for export matters that are related to the local business (i.e. Export Control Classification, management of Export License, local Customer screening); · Represent the company in any audit performed by the local custom agency (i.e. HMRC and BIS); · To undertake, as directed, any other duties that may be required with the overall efficient running of the Company Ideal candidate profile: · Master's Degree in Engineering or relevant work experience in Quality Assurance in similar industries · 2 years minimum of relevant experience · Good knowledge of aerospace regulatory framework and operational impact of applicable laws and regulations · Good knowledge of Quality sector regulations; · Deep knowledge of the company business and aerospace industry · Able to represent the company and establish and maintain effective working relationships · Analytical skills · Problem solving · Interpersonal skills · Able to prioritize, plan and organise their own work to meet deadlines and targets · Ability to undertake Change management · Attention to detail Additional information: · Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience plus good benefits package · Onsite parking and very good public transport links · Candidates must already hold the right to live and work in the UK prior to application, and currently be resident in the UK. · Start ASAP in the office environment If you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply immediately.
