Role: Contracts Officer / Analyst Start date: ASAP Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended Location: Wolverhampton - Potential for Hybrid 1 -3 days on-site depending on business needs Pay Rate: £30 - £35 per hour Hours: 37 per week Our client require a skilled Contract Officer / Analyst to work as part of the Contracts team supporting our client. The successful candidate will support a portfolio of military and civil contracts with international customers. They will work closely with the Contracts Lead and other business functions to provide guidance and contribute to business objectives. The role will look at the product life cycle, including but not limited to bid support, product development, manufacture and support contracting. To be considered you must be able to demonstrate the ability to draft technical contracts and negotiate them with internal and external customers. A legal background is NOT required, however previous skills from a Supply Chain or Business Development role drafting and negotiating contracts for example, is essential. Candidates from any background will be considered if they can demonstrate exceptional record / auditing skills reviewing, drafting and responding to internal customer questions Knowledge and Skills: The ability to draft, review and negotiate contracts Attention to detail and methodical approach is critical. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as are good preparation and planning skills. Enjoy working with internal customers and colleagues to reach agreement in a demanding environment. The willingness to work in an administrative based role to develop business knowledge and grow an understanding of various other functions. Principal Accountabilities: Creating and maintaining contracts records and entries in the contracts database. Creating and maintaining a contracts library. Reading, reviewing and logging contractual requirements, assuring timely communication of contract information to appropriate company representatives. Drafting of agreements and contract clauses, under the supervision of a Contracts Lead. Compiling contract summaries to share with the wider business. Contract management, including support to programme teams under the supervision of a Contracts Lead. Gain an understanding of Global Trade and coordinate Global Trade documentation and information gathering exercises, including but not limited to documenting agreements and licences, maintaining sub-licensee lists and annual submissions as required. Providing commercial support and advice to multi-functional teams. Compliance to International Trade requirements Focal point for Contracts Team and adhoc activities including, but not limited to portal administration, SharePoint site maintenance and a liaison with Collins Separation Management Office (SMO).
