CNC Machine Supervisor / Permanent Opportunity / Cambridgeshire / Automotive Specialist Title – CNC Supervisor Location – Cambridgeshire Salary – £42,500 to £45,000 About An enticing permanent opportunity has come available for a leading Automotive Manufacturer. With the business working on behalf of the MOD, Airbus Defence & Space and Envisage Group they are now actively looking for a skilled CNC Supervisor to come in and support on a variety of entincing projects. The successful candidate will have experience working in the fast-paced engineering environment and will be a specialist in utilising MasterCAM. Duties It’s a hands-on Supervisor role managing one other person, who’s primary role is to run the machines. The new role will require mainly someone to programme for the machine and run the machine if required. Assist with scheduling of the work with support from the management. There may be a need to assist with CAD, using RhinoCam. Programming using RhinoCAM. Although we now also have Mastercam, and this will be the lead programming package. We have 3 machines: an ARES CMS 5 axis router (running Fanuc software), a Multicam 5 axis router (running OSAI software). A time-served person is preferred. There may be a need to produce block ups for the machine, and also surface the machined components (off the machines). The person can be trained to support laser scanning of the machined tooling/components. The materials to be machined include: Carbon, glass reinforced plastic, aluminium, foam, perspex, nylon, tooling block. Global machine tooling and components for the defence, aerospace, marine and renewables sectors.
