Job Title: Chassis - PMO/Project Manager Salary: £50-£60k (Depending on Experience) Duration: Permanent RESPONSIBILITIES * The candidate must have familiarity and experience in delivering commodities across Chassis systems * Support Function Group Leader with all planning and project management activities required to deliver the commodities within the function group to QCD targets * Take ownership of the issue management deck for the Function Group; managing issues through the triage process, ensuring issue owners are closing issues and raising containments where required in line with Programme timing requirements * Work with the Programme team to understand the Part Release Plan for each part (including service part and advanced/tooling releases) within the function group and drive the engineering teams to submit part releases on time and to quality. * Track and drive the progression of DFMEAs in line with FPJ & part release requirements * Coordinate gateway inputs for the function group in line with Programme timing requirements. * Support the Function Group Lead to ensure submissions are reflective of the accurate Engineering status and to the correct quality standard * Support the Function Group Leader in tracking piece cost and investment (inc D&D) against target, ensuring latest status is communicated to the Finance team, and the risks and opportunities process is being driven * Create KPIs as required for the Function Group to drive the activities of the engineering team and to feed into the Programme team. Understand the open issues associated with the KPI status and work with the Function Group Leader to drive mitigation plans to resolve open issues * Ensure all commodities within the Function Group have an up-to-date commodity delivery plan (hardware & software) that includes tasks required to validate parts ahead of VP build. Any incompatibilities with Programme timing to be escalated through the Programme team. * Support commodity owners in co-ordinating APQP gateways for each of their commodities * Co-ordinate workplan to ensure technical requirements for RFQs are ready and submitted to the procurement team in line with the supplier nomination glide path * Work with the Virtual Series lead to ensure that the timing & requirements for each VS event are cascaded throughout the Engineering team. Support the Function Group Leader to drive the Engineers to ensure they deliver the correct maturity data for each event * Co-ordinate test & validation requirements for the Function Group and feed them into the Test & Validation team * Act as the single point of contact for the Function Group for all cross-functional discussions as required * Support the Function Group Lead with the capturing of minutes and actions from the respective PMT/PAT meetings * Other tasks as assigned by a line manager REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Engineering degree or equivalent experience * Experience delivering commodities on a vehicle Programme * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong project management skills * Experience in a “Start-up” business is desirable * Ability to manage data and create KPIs * APM/Prince 2 qualifications desirable
