Job Title: Car Sales Executive Location: Portadown, BT62 2RB Salary: Basic Salary Between £20,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience) + bonus - OTE £40,000-£58,000 Full Time and Permanent – 5-day week (Rota) - Role will involve working some weekend shifts and 1 late night every week (late night will be either a Tuesday or Thursday working until 8.00pm) Our client is one of the largest and fastest-growing motor retailers. They represent major global franchises from various locations in Northern Ireland. They are now actively looking to recruit a Sales Executive for their dealership in Portadown. Job Purpose: To ensure the Sales Experience is delivered to every customer. Delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction is paramount to this role as is achieving new and used car sales to the agreed target set by the General Manager / Sales Manager. The Sales Executive will pursue achieve incremental sales and profit opportunities through the sale of Finance, Warranty, Insurance, and Dealer Accessory Sales. Duties / Responsibilities: Business Generation: * Agrees and uses a planned daily, weekly, and monthly schedule to generate business. * Uses customer follow-up and telephone prospecting systems to create additional sales opportunities for repeat and new business. * Participates in external promotional activity in the market area to raise the profile of the brand and to generate sales opportunities. * Identifies the customer’s needs and presents the dealership services that will enable these targets to be met. Follows a planned professional sales presentation, designed to achieve maximum results from the available sales opportunities. * Establishes the most appropriate way for the customer to fund their acquisition, whether this be via PCP, Hire Purchase, or other funding arrangements. * Demonstrates products to customers, both statically and dynamically. * Conducts accurate and fair appraisals of all vehicles presented for a part exchange. * Agrees valuations and sales contracts with management and completes satisfactory negotiations with potential customers to maximise sales and profit. * Develops and maintains comprehensive product knowledge including competitor vehicles. Customer Care: * Ensures that good relationships are maintained and developed with internal and external customers by meeting their requirements and exceeding their expectations. * Handles internal and external customer problems, complaints, or difficult situations, using the necessary skills and where possible resolving the issue to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and the business. Administration: * Processes appropriate dealership paperwork to ensure that the vehicle is correctly and fully prepared, including the fitting of any specified accessories. * Provides completed dealer and insurance documentation to the administration department so that vehicles can be taxed in a timely manner. * Completes the Hire Purchase Information check and mileage check where necessary on all part exchange vehicles. * Maintains accurate showroom control logs and customer contact data and supplies this information to Management on a regular basis. * Works systematically to handle all the administrative requirements of the position. * Ensures the security and processing of all monies taken from customers in line with dealer standards and processes. * Ensures that forecourt stock is clean and serviceable for static and dynamic demonstrations to prospective customers and that the vehicle presentation meets dealership standards. General: * Understands and complies with all appropriate sales and finance legislation relevant to the department. * Cooperate fully with the implementation of the company’s Health & Safety arrangements, for example, reporting accidents/incidents and equipment defects to management and maintaining a clean uncluttered, and safe environment for customers, members of the public, and staff. * Ensures the maintenance of all equipment and other materials. * Maintains personal awareness of the company’s quality procedures described in the company’s Quality Management System. Essential Skills and Experience: Knowledge of the sales experience. An understanding of the specific dealership brand. Excellent communication skills. Excellent customer handling skills. Ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Excellent numeracy skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Computer literacy. Planning and organisational skills. Determined & proactive. Integrity. Valid driver’s license and access to a car for business purposes. Flexibility. Previous experience in a similar role. Working knowledge of in-house computerised system. Previous experience in the automotive industry.
