This role plays a pivotal role in driving growth and success within the business through relationship building, sales activity and overall new business growth. Ideally, you’ll specialise and be the driving force in one business area of the following: Aviation Automotive North England Region Driving 3PL Manufacturing What you’ll do as Business Development Manager This role is all about delivering excellence and driving new business through proactive account development and new client acquisition. You’ll have autonomy to prioritise your time and sales approach but given the support you need within the business to give you every chance of success. This is a diverse role which will stretch your skillset and allow you to grow further in sales. The following gives you a brief overview of what to expect in the role: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in your given industry sector/region. Develop and implement a business development plan to achieve revenue targets. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients. Collaborate with internal teams for shared knowledge and ability to maximise accounts. Create a strong pipeline through insights, cold calling, referrals and account growth. Develop and present proposals in line with company service level and values. Record, track and analyse sales data to aid better prioritisation of sales activity, communicate potential wins to the wider business and support better business decision making in the future. This is a role which could suit someone from a variety of backgrounds although there are some things we would love to see in your experience: You’ll need to show that you can flourish and have prior experience in a customer facing role where you have been responsible for meeting sales targets If you’ve come from the recruitment industry and know how to sell people services, that would enhance your application although it’s not essential. You’ll be adaptable and able to show experience of selling to both small and large organisations with success. You’ll be able to evidence exceeding sales targets on both a monthly and annual basis.
