Job Title: Bodyshop Workshop Controller Role Scope: Workshop Location: Basingstoke  Salary - £50,000  As a Bodyshop Workshop Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our bodyshop facility. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the workflow, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing leadership to a team of skilled technicians. Your role will be crucial in maintaining efficiency, optimizing resources, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Workshop Coordination: Efficiently plan and coordinate the workflow within the bodyshop, ensuring that repairs are completed on time and meet high-quality standards. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a team of technicians, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and performance. Quality Control: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure that all repairs meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Resource Optimization: Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Customer Interaction: Act as a point of contact for customers, providing updates on the status of their vehicle repairs and addressing any concerns or inquiries in a professional and customer-centric manner. Technical Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, stay informed about industry trends, and provide technical guidance to the team as needed. Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety among the team. Proficient in using relevant software for scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting. Customer-focused with excellent communication skills. Understanding of health and safety regulations in an automotive workshop setting.
