Midlands to London - Position would suit base areas Nottinghamshire to Milton Keyes. Our client is an established family company with over 15 years experience in installing automatic doors, shopfronts and curtain walling to many different locations and buildings. Based in Leicester we work throughout the UK dedicated to installing and supporting our products for our valued customers. A Full-time vacancy has arisen for an Automatic Door Installer and Service Engineers, reporting to our Leicester office but based from home to sites. Our engineers are responsible for representing the company promoting our products and services and providing a first-class service to customers on a wide range of automatic door and access control products. You will be provided with a fully stocked company vehicle, PPE and support from the Leicester HQ office. The successful individual will have a positive, mature attitude with the ability to absorb and understand technical information quickly and analyse and solve problems accurately. Applicants must have good communication skills with internal and external customers, be self-motivated, able to work without supervision and use initiative where necessary. Role: * Installations of automatic door operators (predominantly sliding and swing doors), roller shutters and gate automation. Working with electronic low voltage operators, motor/gearboxes and digital control panels and Access Control Products (Fob Readers Digi Pads Finger Print Readers etc). * Commissioning of automatic doors, gates and access control systems to BS & EN. * Call-Outs and Repairs * Surveying * Service and Maintenance Visits * Installing glass and aluminium shop fronts as part of door automation installation (working as part of a team) * Updating Job Sheets and Reporting to Office staff Key Skills: * Problem solving * Fault finding * Customer relationships * Time keeping * First fixes * Team working * Working independently * Working on own initiative and thrive on challenges Qualifications (preferred): * BS 7036 / EN16005 Minimum * Site safety awareness trained CSCS * Asbestos Training Awareness * NVQ Level 2 Engineering * NVQ Level 2 Construction * Mechanical Engineering City & Guilds electrical * Electrical Installation City & Guilds 2330 Level 2
