Assembly Shift Production Manager – 6 Months FTC £38,000 - £42,000 Pro-Rated + Shift Allowance + Benefits The Company My client is a specialist products manufacturer supplying into a variety of industries. They have both UK and international sites which all deliver exceptional levels of service as a result of working closely with each customer to understand the specific needs of their business. Through continued growth and development (even during a challenging 2020) they have an excellent opportunity for a Shift Production Manager to lead their team and improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery to exceed customer expectations. The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager the Production Manager will have the responsibility for the key KPI’s (P, S Q, C, D) to meet the business objectives. Other responsibilities will include: * Customer satisfaction * Understanding target shortfalls and implementing the appropriate actions * Implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies * Health, Safety and Environmental performance and compliance * Shift handovers * Building strong internal relationships with other functions * Resource management to meet business objectives * Labour utilisation and performance management * Management of costs including consumable materials, tooling, and overtime to budgeted levels. * Assessing, training, coaching & developing your team The Candidate You will be an experienced Shift Production Manager will be from a high- volume Assembly environment such as Automotive or Aerospace and have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. You are already a proven leader who delivers results through engaging with your team. You are process disciplined, able to initiate and drive Change and also capable of making good autonomous decisions. You will have the desire to progress and develop your career. You are organised and able to prioritise to achieve the required results and have a practical approach to problem-solving The Benefits In return, the successful Shift Production Manager will receive a competitive salary of up to £42,000 (pro-rated & dependent upon experience), plus shift allowance and company benefits. Although not guaranteed, the role could become permanent
