Aerospace Quality Manager - Fareham Competitive Salary on a permanent basis Fareham We are working with a local Engineering Manufacturing Organisation who have a fantastic opportunity for a high calibre Quality Manager to join the companies Leadership Team on a permanent basis in the Fareham area. The Role Reporting directly into the General Manager for this site the Quality Manager will have a team of direct reports, including a Deputy Quality Manager, Quality Engineers and teams of Inspectors. Having overall responsibility for all site quality engineering, compliance, and quality management systems including product quality performance throughout the operation. Key responsibilities - Ownership of all customer quality functional and exec relationships - Develop and execute Quality functional strategy. Leading by example to organise and set the standards for the Quality team, spanning - Quality Engineering, Compliance, Supplier Quality, and Product Quality Control - Ownership and development of compliance assurance of the company's quality and business systems. - Company signatory on approvals, compliance statements and product certification - Product Compliance - QA representation at design review activities - Investigation, root cause and corrective actions - Continuous improvement You We would like to encourage applications from candidates who have a proven background in a similar role, within the Aerospace/Aviation industry. You will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in Aerospace quality and personnel management role. Qualifications - Recognised quality qualification and ideally degree qualified in a relevant discipline - Detailed knowledge and prior held approvals for either EASA, FAA, CAA - Leadership experience managing external supplier and customer quality assurance - Trained in the use of standard quality management tools and techniques, including SPC, FMEA and problem solving The company Our clients customers are within the Aviation and Nuclear sector and due to the nature of their work and customer order book they have continued to work throughout the pandemic. They are a site of around 200 staff with an early Friday finish, car park on site and employee benefits
